Frequently Asked Questions

Who are you?

We are the Gathering Church Viridian Youth Group, which is invested in connecting the students to God, one another, and the broader community. To find out more about us, visit our About Us page or our Church Website.

What is ‘Download’?

Besides our more casual Wednesday youth meeting, we also offer a Sunday morning youth ministry called Download. At Download, we want to allow the students to grow in their Biblical understanding and relationship with God. Download occurs every Sunday during the 10 am service. We worship together with the main congregation and then go to the ‘Aero Room’ for teaching.

How can my student serve at Church?

At Gathering Church Viridian, we feel very strongly about instilling servant-hearted principles in our young people; using our gifts and putting Jesus first is so important. The students can get involved with various things. They can volunteer with the children’s ministry, the tech team, the worship team, the hospitality team, or special serving opportunities. Just speak to Becca or David; they’ll get you connected to the right people.

What do we need to do to get our student started?

The first step is to fill out a consent form for your child. David or Becca will contact you for your next steps.

Where is Youth Group going to be at?

For ‘Download’ we meet at Gathering Church Viridian each Sunday.

For our Wednesday Night Youth Meeting, however, we get to meet at a variety of locations which include parks, neighborhood homes, and the community pool. Because of the changing locations, regular communication is essential.
See below on how to sign up for parent communication.

How can we receive parent communication?

We use a software called ‘Slack’ for communication. Its is a team communication software that allows us to keep you up to date about what is happening at Youth.

How can I help my child grow spiritually?

As a parent, you play a vital role in your child’s spiritual development. Youth pastors only get a small amount of time each week to pour into them. We understand your challenge and are here for you. Not only do we have available resources for you to use, we are happy to meet with you and discuss how we can help.

How can we be involved?

There are several ways you can get involved. You can become a host home, provide snacks, support financially, and help chaperone events. Simply contact us, and we are happy to get you started.
